I've changed my shocks to OME and find them very comfortable, but maybe a bit to soft with a heavy Jeep and bouncing over hard bumps. This just happened to me and wam into my flares, which have been trimmed. So what are you all using? For me it would be for extreme off-road.
You can give more detail on what you have by posting it. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Inukshuk, I just love to go where no man has gone before Rock climbing, in marshes, atv trails, mud, tundra etc. |

While I don't have anything to compare them to, my RE mono's are doing great after about 50k miles and about 3 years on a heavy Jeep. (Winch and solid bumper front, tire carrier rear, extra armor and cage...) Got the same ones on my wife's light Jeep (Stock except RE 3.5 lift and 31's) and she likes them also. Roads here are rough, they take more of a beating driving to/from work then they do on the trail. If/when they finally wear out, I'm going Bilstein based on the research I've done.
Good luck, Mark To boldly go where we're too stupid to know any better. "Use your hammer, not your mouth, jackass!" Mike Ditka Mostly 03 TJ, RE 4.5 Superflex, 35 x 12.5 BFGs, OBA, MM Hyd winch, Elockers, Custom built Dana 44's, Rockhard cage, and wonder gadgets. http://midsouthjeeps.com |
