Even though I have a YJ, I cant get over the way a good ole CJ looks. Hopefully soon my YJ will be sporting a new CJ grill, hood, and tube fenders!

Yep, that's a difficult question.
I voted TJ. I love the CJ's, especially the CJ-5. It was the very coolest of the cool, imo.
That's why I pick the TJ, to me it represents the updated version of the short wheel base CJ-5.
Also, the TJ brough me back to Jeepin, I sort of fell off when they brought out the square headlights. I've never liked square headlights in any vehicle.

Some of my favorite versions:

I grew up seeing YJs and early XJs on the road, so I've got a soft spot in my heart for them, but to me nothing beats the CJ for hard-core, all-American off-road appearance.

Yea this is true, i bought my YJ from my dad, jeeps kinda stay within the family for me. Get this my sister owned it, my dad owned it, now i do and shes still running hard. I love the YJ's for the ride, and the CJ's for the style. Though Bantam started it all.

There were no YJ's when I was groing up, only CJ's. When I was about 14 or 15 my uncle let me drive his CJ8 in a pasture at his house. Man, I was king of the world (kinda like that Alan Jackson song).
I'll never forget it. I still like Scramblers.

Even though the CJ is carburated, it still has a lot of strong, die hard parts. I love a well built CJ, even a CJ that is completely stock but with a nice coat of paint they just look awesome. After my ZJ I was going to buy one, but have the TJ now and satisfied. However, if I had a CJ it would be a CJ-8 around 86' , 35's and a 350 in it.

I love my TJ but I fell in love with the old CJ's long before TJ's or YJ's were around.

Stupid Great Pics! LOVE that Renegade!

I have to agree with BOB4KT for the most part - I grew up loving the CJ's - there were no YJ's until I had already gotten the Jeep bug. My Mom's husband had a Renegade CJ7 and I was fortunate enough to have my '70 Torino GT break down. Guess what there was left for me to drive to work? Tommy's Jeep! V8 & 33's - I was hooked like a crack addict. While I do like the YJ's, I never was hot on the square headlights. I even remember the commercial when the TJ came out (don't flame, now!) that said "Real Jeeps Have Round Headlights." When I finally got the money, YEARS later, to buy my first Jeep to build, I couldn't get away from the round headlights, but wanted the coil springs and linked suspension. Plus, like BOB4KT said, to me it looks like the most accurate modern rendition of the original concept. If I ever build another one, it will be a CJ8 or unlimited with a V8.

Long Live the Jeep!

1997 TJ Sport (TF999), 31" Wild Country LTR mud tires, 3.5 TeraFlex & discos, 1" Daystar BL/ML, Tera SYE, PSC Sahara Rockers w/step rail, BD tie rod, Procomp LCA's, tank skid, K&N drop-in... strategizing the buildup!
