If $$$ is an issue, I'd stick with the Q-trac, with good servicing they're a good t-case. With a little fabbing you can get rid of the vacuum actuation and switch it over to cable actuated. With that being said, if you plan on any rockcrawling it may be worth it to switch to a D300 or Atlas. I'm not aware of anyone that makes reduction gears or doublers for a Q-trac.
