Just out of curiosity....

Question:
If you had a choice of the following 3 tires, which would it be and why?

Choices:
39.5x16.5x15 Pitbull Rocker
39.5x13.5x15 Super Swamper IROK
39.5x15x15 Super Swamper TSL

It's a toss up between the Iroc and the TSL for me. However I like my TSL's so I went that way. I've heard great things about the Iroc.
I don't know anything about the Pitbull Rocker.

However we would like for you to get a set. Put them through some real life wheeling and give us the lowdown.

That's what I've done for a few years. I've run one set of Boggers, good, tough tire but not enough lateral traction for my taste, 2 sets of TSL's and loved them both. The 38" TSL's I'm currently running have been through almost 3 seasons of wheelin' and have never let me down, they're down to about 40% tread so it's time for tires again. The only dilema is which ones to get, I can get all 3 sets locally for about the same $$, maybe it's time to try something different. Today is decision day and I'll pick up the tires tomorrow, which ever way I go they'll get tested, I wheel 2-3 times a month so they'll see plenty of abuse.

Hey Robin! I've done good to wheel three times this year. I put 35" MTR's on the YJ, and have darn near wore them out driving it 80 miles a day back and forth to work.

We gave away a set of 40" MTR's at the Kansas Krawl, nice lookin' tires, if I wouldn't have to get new rims to run them, they'd be on the list.

Dennis, ya need to make it back to Kansas for some wheelin' sometime! Cool I haven't been out in a couple weeks, I may have to sneak out for a bit tomorrow Big Grin

Well, it's a done deal. I picked up my 39.5x16.5x15 Pitbull Rockers today Cool I went out and played for a bit and so far I love them! Good dry conditions and at 8psi they really start to hook up and they provide more clearance at 8psi than my TSL's did at 15. So far, so good, now if they prove to be as tough as my TSL's were I'll be a very happy camper!

There's a bunch of good guys at Expert, I've known the owner and their head fabricator for a long time. In fact, I got the Rockers from one of their employees, only had 3 runs on them Cool I got a little street time with them the other night, about 3 miles at 40mph and they were amazingly quiet(not that I mind a noisy tire)so much quieter than TSL's. I'll probably never know how they wear on the street, it's a rare occasion to get street time on the frog.
