I've had my '95 wrangler for about four years now and always thought of doing an engine swap, but never had the money for the engine and trans. But all that changed this weekend. My grandfather in-law has a big block chevy v8 (bored to 584 cubic inches) mated to what I believe is a Th400 3 speed auto transmission that he is going to give me! I know this is quite excessive for a jeep but I figure why not. I know that I can buy an adapter for the transfer case and will need a new radiator. does anyone know where I can get engine mounts, or anything else I may need? The engine is still in the truck so I have access to all the bits and pieces currently attached.

And don't worry, I will be spending the next few months or so just planning the swap, so don't think I don't know what I'm getting into Smile

THATS A BIG A$$ ENGINE FOR A JEEP. good luck... you'll soon have to address your trans case, axles, clutch, and whatever else lays in the dark waiting to bite you in the butt.
