I have a 2000 Tj, this does not happen all the time, but quite often. The shifter will feel like it is fully into 1st gear, and when i begin to release the clutch the trany will pop out of gear and the shift will pop into neutral. I then have to press the clutch in and reinsert the shifter into the gear. I have a 4" super lift, 33" tires, and transfer case lowering kit. The Jeep has the NV3550 transmision. I have checked and the shifter is not hitting the console or anything ti be cousing it not to go fully into gear. I have wondered if the shifter is worn? Have any of you experianced this? Any advise or help would be greatly appreceated.
Thanks
