ok so im pretty much done. clocked in almost 17 hrs of work on these things. the head was a mess when i got it. almost pure black. i magnafluxed it but havent hot tanked it yet.i still have to smooth out the bosses and the rest is the machine shops work. they're gonna open the intake seats from 1.90 to 2.02,open the exhaust from 1.5 to 1.60, 3 angle valve job, and bronze valve guides, and resurface the head as well.

had about 100,000 miles on the head..
i port/polished all the chambers and took some off of the intake ports. left the exhaust ports alone. mirror finished the bowls and the exhaust ports and the intake is 80grit . heres are some pics.

well i think my project is going south fast.

i redid all the math and even if i buy everything as cheap as i can and everything runs as smooth as possible, its only 600 cheaper than if i got a Golen motor.. im learning alot but i think i may just save the dough and front the complete pro built long block.... to many dang hassles.
