not that hard. you have a few routes and i'd do a 4.6 not a 4.7 cuz you'd only have to rebore to 0.020 possibly 0.030. you could buy a new one from http://www.golenengineservice.com or build it up yourself. personally i'd build it myself. take your time and it wont cost 3200.00

I love my 4.7L stroker. It dynos at 302 hp and 450 footpounds of torque.

I was inspired by Tony's article after I grenaded my 4.0L. I added more performance upgrades like porting and polishing the head, balancing, back cut valves etc.

I have met Tony in person, as he is local to the Denver area. He is a nice guy and really knows his stuff.

I've got a pair of 258's and 4.0's I think i'll try it. I wonder if I can get away with a 4.0 or does it have to be an H.O.?

I don't think the HO is relevant to the upgrade. To ask a knowledgable source ask Tony or call Terry at:

Western Engine
750 E 71st Avenue
(303) 286-1903

He can answer any of your questions.
