I was listening to an economist being interviewed recently and the subject of tax credit or deduction specificaly for Hummers used for business. Anyone know details?

Its not just hummers. Its a tax credit for vehicles with a 6,000+lb GVWR. Most of the BIG suv's as well as 250/2500+ trucks fall under that.

Yup. Depending on your circumstances tax-wise, it can be as much as a $30,000 credit.
THIS WILL EXPIRE VERY SOON! I don't have the date but don't expect this tax loophole to last long - literally. |

I know of several Toyata Sequoias bought just for that reason. I think there was also a landrover that was recalled to change the GVWR from 6001 to 6000 to get it under that limit.
