Do any of them have a 4LO or are they all just AWD w/ sissy traction control and so on. I know they aren't part of the G-family technically speaking I think but how capable VS. plush are they ? Is there a site/forum with upgrades available or anything ? Thanks a bunch.

The M is a real 4wd. The new ML is 4wd without reducted gear. You can have it : it's an option now. We use the ML in France to practice off-road. You can see some informations : www.gmlpassion.com about G and ML.
