My truck is the BOMB now! Today I recieved my perfect 8 tooth pinion from that link for that website I keep posting around here..think it's RC 4WD or something. Anyway, I attached it to my lathe motor and made sure the mesh was good, through on my wheels and Moabs and started just romping back and forth over my shoes like they were nothing! This truck could never do that before. I was very impressed with it.

Earlier this evening I almost spent around $80 on parts needed for a rear suspension upgrade which required suspension arms, tie rod ends, new shocks, longer dogbones and I don't know what else..well I ended up putting that little project on hold and decided to get 4 new Stampede rims which look bad to the bone..but I haven't been able to adapt them to the axles..I guess I'm going to keep them or sell them on Ebay..don't know..but I can't use them on my truck. And besides, this way..I can still use the tracks if I want to.

Well, I decided to just go with the stock rims, throw on my moabs and see how it does..Boy was I impressed! I'm very happy with the torque and power of my truck now..I'm very glad I didn't buy all that crap earlier today and I'm not ever going to.

The stock wheels and suspension will remain as they are. The motor will remain as it is, I don't need any other lathe motor or racing motor. I've been questioning if I wanted to change the body or not..still undecided. I'll try to get a quick couple of vids showing it's new abilities here in my room.

Here is a list of the mods with prices as my truck is setup with right now:

Truck on ebay $6 + $30 shipping = $36

7.2V 3300 Megavolt @ hobby shop = $40

Futaba Radio and reciever on ebay $20.50 + 12 shipping = $32.50

Duratrax Intellispeed ESC on ebay $36 + $10 shipping = $46

Integy Matrix 45 Turn lathe motor @ hobby shop = $20

8 tooth rock crawler pinion from RC4WD $7 + $10 shipping = $17 (worth it trust me)

Deans connectors for battery to esc (ask Dez about this one) @ hobby shop = $4

Futaba S3040(?) servo 80 ounces of torque @ hobby shop = $30

Locked front and rear differentials with hot glue..This combined with the 8 tooth and lathe makes an unstoppable combination.

I did also get a set of softer blue springs from tower hobbies but they weren't necessary. If you decide to cut coils off your stock springs, don't cut any more than 2 or they will be too soft.

My total cost for current setup is $225 That doesn't include 3 different motors..the Titan 550, and the two Trinity motors, and also doesn't include my Proline Moabs which were originally intended for another truck.

If your stock electronics are in good shape it's not necessary to replace them to be able to use the lathe motor, which also means you don't need to get a servo..stock one is okay.

One day, someone showed me a glass of water that was half full. And he said, "Is it half full or half empty?" So I drank the water. No more problem. ~Alexander Jodorowsky.....
