Hello there I have had the urge to buy a new 1/6 LR3 lately but all of a sudden when i was walking through Toys"R"us a truck caught my eye. It apears to be 4x4 and is D.P. and it comes with a stick radio. However it looks like it only runs on one 540 size motor =( I dont know witch truck i should get because i am afraid the tundra might be too under powered. Heres a link so you can check it out http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=29377...f=PAD/Boy%20Girl/Boy

I would have to see the tundra up close to make a far judgment on it. Can't tell what the chassis is like from that picture.

One day, someone showed me a glass of water that was half full. And he said, "Is it half full or half empty?" So I drank the water. No more problem. ~Alexander Jodorowsky.....

That the Red truck you showed me? If so it is a Tundra.. Thought it was 2 wheel drive. The metal rod in his picture you gave me, is the driveshaft?

in the center of axle

Radio shack is just a store just like Toys R us.
Fast lane 1/6th scale.. Now reality is some guy in china most likely made the thing. So what brand is it? Who knows I don't.

Freak,, all I can say is do some research and find out as much as you can. Took me 5 mins to find out you could of bought it on black Friday back in 2005 for $49.99.

RC Mania had a Has a Review on the fast lane 1/6th hummer..

Im sure if you did some searching you can find enough to come to your own conclusion of what to get. "AS long as you read between the lines and stay true to your self on your needs" You will be happy with your choice.

If you want someone to tell you what to buy.
Go out and buy a 1/6th scale Newbright CXT.
Because hey I like the Body and thats all that matters and well it happens to be a Newbright forum.

Let the truth be Known. I did not go on a Camaro
forum and ask if I should buy a Mustang or a Camaro. Smile

I could give you advised the LAND ROVER (like mine), but to build a crawler, I advise you the JEEP 1/6, easier to make a crawler .. NEWBRIGHT PRODUCT :-)

It is alot easier to modify the 1:6 newbright than the chassis of that other one. I have a hummer mattrack too,(which is the same 4 x 4 540 motor) drivetrain. Unless you go to the awesome extent that r-1 has.
The one I have like that is 1:10 scale though. IS this one a 1:10 or a 1:6. These are not apples and apples.
If you want a tough truck you can run in the snow and bash your backyard, Get the landrover 1:6 and lock the rear diff, if you want something smaller and want to upgrade the motors to make it stronger or faster, get the other with the 540. My guess on testing is stock the 1:10 you are looking at has a 27 t 550 motor approximately. Just guessing by putting it side by side with a 12 a 27 and a 55 turn motor and feeling and watching the rpm's (highly Scientific)

so I hope this helps.
1:10 540 = more scale and easier motor mounts
1:6 LR = More bashing fun and more outdoor use. Run over your mates 1:10's!!!

Hey Freak::::::::

I saw you were on earlier today. Any updates on choosing a rig? Or are you more inclined to go in another direction now?
