What if I put together a website just for these NB Rockcrawlers and such, but the thing is we could put up tutorials and such on tech for doing the mods. People could write them and submit them.
Why?
It puts everything in one place, in a format, instead of having to search a forum for bits and pieces. And it would have photos of every aspect and such and could be linked back to the discussion on the site's private forum or to Rock Crawler.com (Which would be beter in my opinino but no clue).
Is anyone interested? I have all the skills and equipment needed to build it.... just wondering if the community would support it.
sounds great to me.. I'll supply hosting if needed.. I run a personal website that sucks up about .5% of alotted data, monthly or otherwise.. so i have plenty of space for other things.. people would benefit from this greatly if you decided to do it.
I would say the name would definitely have to include "New Bright Rockcrawler" so that people searching for these things will be able to find the site.
Maybe like New Bright Rockcrawler Garage? or something to that effect?
I bet is you asked TXJEEPER real nice he could provide us with a tech section for write ups. Each write up could be locked so that no one could respond to it. Then there would be no searching. You would just have a series of tech articles on this Toy.
Ok thats pointless, sure it would keep them together but the quality would have to be managed and image hosting would have to be done. Useing photobucket wont cut it.
ANd having it locked pretty much defeats the whole concept of asking questions about the project. The site's goal is to help people with issues on the modification and guide them. Not play monkey see monkey do and not be allowed to speak.
I say go for it.. I'll help in any way I can. No offense, but this site is for RockCrawler magazine.. Not the easiest site to find when you're looking for our little 4x4's.
