I just bought a new radio control car from Ebay. I paid, but now the seller (who has mostly good feeback) is asking for more money (about 10 Euros) to cover postage. In all fairness, I won the item for a relatively low price (compared to what they normally go for), but then it's up to the seller to sort out reserve prices and postage prior to the auction ending right? Isn't asking for additional monies going against the spirit (or rules) of an ebay auction? What would you do?

Allll depends on the wording of the auction itself, sometimes they dont list shipping and wait till the auction ends to see where the winner is before giving shipping costs, whatever was said in the original ad on ebay is what he should be going by, wether it says a fixed shipping price or if it says shipping price to be determined at auction end or something similar.

Well he definately listed the price to send to the UK. He asked for 20 Euros which sounds about right to send from France to the UK. Now I did get a VERY good price for the car (about £20 less than normal and actually a few quid less than what Americans can buy them for), and I suspect he didn't adequately plan for the car to sell for so low...

But it's wrong. I think I'll pay, but tell him I am not that happy paying more. He'll get neutral feedback though cos he's wasted my time.
