well i bet you thought i had dumped my 1/6 beetle .lol not so .good progress has been made .the esc and reciever are installed .also the hobby servo .this was buy far the most difficult to install .due to the hobby servo being very large .the stock location for the servo is underneath the chassie .this space was to small for the hobby servo so i had to build a platform inside the chassie.much cutting and fabrication work .but i got there. here are a few pics .

the white substance you see is a strengthening filler from most auto shops it will be sanded down and painted black like the rest of the chassie .

NAT, what motor are you going to be running in this unit? Something with nice low turns to get the front in the air constantly !!! I hope. We need to see the BAJA bug in full BAJA form with a massive rooster tail of sand as it goes wheelstanding down the beach!!

yeah I saw the fitted one before but didnt know what she was. What do you know about the titan 12 turn 550's I just obtained 2 of em and not sure what to add them too. for options I have, clod crawler, or a 2 wheel drive hummer like your bug. I am not sure if they are a speed motor or a torque motor. I know they are low turn so they should be speed but they are 550's?

E-MAXX has different Titan motors then the Rustler etc. 12 turns motors. E-MAXX is a 23turn
From what I hear the Titan is a sealed motor so when it goes your all done with the motor. Can't replace brushes etc. A 12T would have a problem getting up the power to run something like a big tired or heavy R/C, Possibly fry the motor just trying to get it to move.
I`m not sure how long the motors run, before the brushes etc give up the ghost.
thanks wayne,s i new the titan was sealed.but not sure how good they are .i tend to buy rebuild able motors . i know my bonzer had somthing like that but i replaced it with a tamiya bz motor . talking about motors i found this very comprehensive guide to r/c motors .check it out .... http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=126994
