well, I found this one today in the "let's get rid of all the Christmas toys" aisle - really funny, cause it comes with a 9.6v 1250mah NiMH battery and smart charger - which is worth the price that I paid for the whole thing -

now the question is do I make it into something else, or just scavenge parts - the lights work front and rear etc....

everything is brand new -

the motor has high/low switch - the controller has three speed settings - the tires/everything is new.. only prob is that it's a 2wd - but goes like stink - I was wondering about looking for another, and 4x4ing this one with the rear end of a second one - but then there's the front steering to deal with - out of my league I think.......

maybe just take parts off ?? ( dunno yet )

ok dude i suggest making it like my hummer it has the same features as yours 9.6 battery lights high and low so what i would do is lock the axle lose alot of weight by taking of the dumb stuff such as the ugly big brush gueard and other big bumpers and other things like capacitors and make it a mudder and a tow rig for your newbright rockcrawler

xjguy i have this old nikko dodge ram r/c truck. its only 2wd but i had some fun with it this weekend. it normally takes a 6volt battery. but i threw in the newbright 9.6 volt. man did those tires spin. i was pulin donuts like crazy on this little porch we have hanging over the water. also i lost reverse somehow. but if i destroyed it oh well. it was fun none less.

also where did you get your hummer. because i am thinking of buying another r/c truck sometime soon.if i can't find one like yours i might get the 4x4 f-350 at radioshack.

yes, ( thanks ) I was thinking about a tow vehicle - maybe a trailer of some kind, or just a tow-bar.... stripping off that excess weight is also a good idea - appreciate your suggestions !
