Apparently not. I have driving it through the snow a bunch of times. With the axles deep under the snow. I let it sit in the sink and dry and it seems to be alright. Havent had a problem as of yet.

I can vouch for that. Been playing with mine in the snow since I got it. Front motor quit once, when I buried it in a puddle of water, but after drying out, worked just fine. Just put it in the tub to dry out. Snow's ok. Just watch out for puddles of over a couple of inches in depth, (or 2 foot deep creeks) and DON'T blast through them. Learned that with another r/c project. Jumping, (falling off a 6 foot wall into 2 feet of water ) Was unbelievably fast and torquey, (had 1600 Mh battery packs) but a large puddle wasn't good for it. waterproofing unfortunately fails when the vehicle is completely immersed. Even a balloon and hot glue to seal it up will find a leak somewhere. The motors and steering servo still work, however, guess it's time to upgrade the electronics and maybe the motors. lol More of an edit. Going to kill the cat, as it appears that he just chewed off the antenna above the tube, and left molar marks in the rest of the tube. Revenge for chasing him? Dunno, but there's gonna be heck to pay. lol
