o yeah on a bike sealed bearings and real good tires/inner tubes make a big difference. I like tires and tubes that can handle at least 80psi.
and rear gears I always tuned. most freewheels have a little drag to them.

Because of your condition and city living, A Bicycle makes perfect sense.

Back in 80s early 90s I had hoggs, But never took a liken to them as something I wanted to or enjoyed riding as a bike. So got rid of them and have not ridding in over 10 years (Owning my own bike that is), Took my fathers out now and then. Now over here on a bike, It is not your self riding I ever worried about, It is people driving cars, That act like you do not belong sharing the same road with them; Pulling in your
lane at lights etc. The Hoggs and my Dads bike are like tanks(Honda shadow) They can't even turn in a 25ft radios and braking, cornering sucks. I feel on them like If a situation arises
I am controlled by the situation, Instead of being in full control at all times. Thats were having a car with, as people would put it to much power for the road comes in handy. If something happens, Like say a tractor trailer pulls in-front of you on the highway; then slows
to 55mph wile traffic is 75mph; I have the ability to get out of harms way faster then a blink of an eye. So Im not hitting the brakes behind the tractor trailer and worried about some one on a cell phone doing 75mph ramming my arse end into the trailer.

These vids helped sell me on the GS500F.
for controllability.

I have a feeling the ninja 250r Is just as controllable. I think my wife would like the blue one.
Just have to get her on a quad first and get her use to the shifts/clutch. She as driven automatic
scooters but not standard trans bike. She has owned a standard car before.

Would rather see her on a true bike then pay money on a moped/scooter that can not take trips.
This color ninja 250r i think will sell her on getting her L.I.C
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IoFtOuZHVw
IF she can shift a quad My brothers Yamaha banshee/or Blaster and able to handle the speed. She will be able to control the ninja I'm confident of it.

don't forget to post back when you get your bike Smile

I'm surprised they have not come out a simple kit with at least 750watts yet.

One time I saw a guy he had a chainsaw engine mounted in back. he used a smaller wheal on the motor that ran against the bicycle tire.

soon it seams stuff like that will be outlawed
around here. Since it is a 2 stroke.

Thats a real nice setup to bad you can not register it. Frown

Here you can have a up-to 50cc and use car driving license. above 50cc you have to have a motor cycle license. If it is not a store bought (Vin # title) Then you have to register as a kit- One off. have all motor vehicle stuff blinkers brake lights head light etc. You go to a certain place here and they put a vin number on your frame and engine, with title (Pink slip) then you can register it. Kneed insurance before you get your plates thats the killer since you have to find a place that is willing to insure you. Some people go under specialty insurance, You can find them in kit-car magazines but you pay an arm and a leg for insurance.

No longer can do this with a 2 stroke engine here. Only 4 stroke as a one off/ kit.

The Government of Quebec, with its insurance regime, does not permit the use of this kind of velo .. thing I did not know before mounted my bike motorized .. some of my friend rolling again with these bikes, but they remain in small villages .. where the police is almost non-existent .. :-)

I have taken possession of my bike electric ..

I traveled 25 km with an assistance (pedal) by 30% and the first battery charge is still 30/40% ..
I could make a longer journey, the storm surprised us ..

I will do another test tomorrow if the weather permits ..

I am sure go approximately 35/40 km, with a battery .. 70/80 with both battery ..

I will have the true mileage in a few days ..

The salesman told me that the battery would be at their best (to have a better performance) in approximately one month ..
