New Bright is 1:10 Scale The Nylint is 1:18 The Nylint is smaller.. meaning shorter wheelbase. They are sweet on Small rocks but not for the bigger rocks. They have great torque. The New Bright is nice when playing in small or big rocks once modified.

These is just slightly modified, and I have a blast with it. I got my grandson a NB but it turned out to be the 2wd and took it back.

It seems that the 1/18 Nylint makes a great inexpensive 2.2 platform. All the ones I've seen with Moabs or Imex tires look really tough! I might just have to try and find a cheap one and get started. Won't my wife just LOVE that!

Heh, I have one of the 1/6 and 1/18, my erector/newbright, my mustang, 2 of the minicrushers, a superslicks monstertruck, and the rat-shack H2, not to mention the 3 or 4 zip-zaps, as well.. so yea, I'm in the same boat as you flapding, haha.

Seriously, though, the stock nylint 1/18 gearing is very nice for crawling.. I've came really close to stretching mine and putting my NB rims on it, just to have a little fun. (they use the same size hubs, btw) I really want to build a 3 or 4 link setup for my nylint, but it's just so small I'm almost afraid to.

EDIT:: here's my collection, heh.

Yea, Tex, the 1/6 is a nice crawler, it's very strong, nice flexy suspension, and a lot of fun to drive.. the only real problem with it is the groud clearance could be a lot better. the HUGE bubble hanging down from the bottom of it drags on everything. I could crawl up my front steps if I cut half of it off. However, at 50 bucks at wall world, they are well worth buying.

Yea, I read that forum all the time as well, I've often thought about doing a "tummy tuck" to mine, but I cant actually bring myself to go through with it, haha. I hate to cut it up, it's just so nice the way it is right now, lol.

The smaller hummer on top of the big one is made by fast lane toys, I got it at toys-r-us. It's rear motor, shaft driven 4 wheel drive with a really neat suspension setup. It's in about 5 pieces in my junk box now, though, the cheap steering broke.

The 2 in front (the red Avalanche and the blue Colorado) are made by Mini Crushers by Zap Toys and I got them at wal-mart for 17 bucks. They are central motor and transmission, solid axle, driveshaft driven, with a 3-link suspension. They have fully proportional steering and speed, too. They are pretty quick on a full charge, and yea, they are a lot of fun to drive. I posted some pics of them and a little more info somewhere in the mods board a LONG time ago, kinda like this thread, haha.

I got one of those fastlane monsters when they were on sale, 20 bucks for the truck and an offroad kit, a real blast but the steering is kind of flimsy. I wish I could find a mini crusher, anybody know if they are still being sold or what? Ive looked everyplace and no sign of them.
