Hey, one question, is there any difference from the 4300mAh and the 3700mAh? Which one should I get?

Power Hogg, I have one question for you. Will the NIMH batteries run fine on the New Brights? Or not? I can't find any NI-CD batteries on ebay.

Hey everyone, does the New Bright RC 1:10 scale crawlers use the NICD batteries or NIMH?

The stock NB battery is a pretty crappy NiCd. Ditch it and pick up some high mAh NiMHs. My stock battery never even made it into my NB when I got it last year.

Would this battery fit in my NewBright 1:10 LR3 Rock Crawler?
Also, how would I connect it, as my existing battery just slips into the slot?

Many thanks, and happy new year!

I see. So the Nicd's are not as useful as the Nimh? I just need to be more sure on which type. Big Grin

Don't forget to keep the voltage in mind when you shop - I think the NBs take 9.6 or so, so the other battery that was mentioned at 4.8v really won't cut it - and yes forget the Nicd's as they have a "memory" and either need to be run flat or discharged..........

another thing to consider is a "charger" for your new battery - no fun sitting around for
5-7 hours waiting for a charge........
more power = more time to charge
( fast chargers are great, but not cheap )

if the battery won't fit into the holder you can get ( or make ) a tamiya jack connector extension, and place the battery some other spot on or in your rig..

just some thoughts - good luck whatever way you go Smile

ps: Hey Sean, anything going on for the winter.. the little pic of your "bug" looks real good .. should have the AX ready in time for your "Spring Crawl On The Coast" Big Grin

if I don't go broke "feeding" it new parts HA

Is that the little slot I've circled below?

Thanks to phatchantz for the advise over voltage - I wouldn't have thought of that. So can anybody recommend a 9.6ish V battery which would last longer (and fit!)

Also - do the NB batteries have to be run flat / discharged before being charged?

These things are great!!
