Ok, so I have a 1/18 nylint and just got a NB. I put little slits in the tires and took off the stupid spare tire. What mods should I do first? Cut springs maybe?

The first thing i would do is use the search feature because this has been covered numerous times. But i won't hate like other boards seem to do. Cut the tires. Not just the sipes but the small lugs. 3-4 Coils out of each spring. Remove the upper spring cup. Inboard the springs. After all that you will def. need to trim the body. Search around though there has been many pics of all of these mods here....

I have found that you can get plenty of flex without moving the springs or ditching the upper spring cups, but definitely cut the springs and the tires.

I'm new to the r/c world. I just picked up a new NB. I seen some of your Jeeps awsome stuff. Where do I start.

Darksyde hit the nail on the head here, look through these pages, decide what approach you want to go with. Then you can decide what you want to do first. Spring and tire trimming is a good starting point no matter what, and I feel the other Grocery Getters on these pages would agree.

First off- are we all in agreement?- yank off the spare and the light bar.

Do the spring clip for sure and loose the buckets.

But the best and easiest way to flex it up is notching out the control arm assembly. Basically, take the body off and try to make your NB flex. Determine where it is hitting and modify that area. Rinse/Repeat. But for God's sake don't hack off the fenders! Smile

I'm totally joking. Do what you want and make it yours. Only thing, I really don't approve of is switching out the body with something else and killing the Jeep spirit within.

You'll see so many different examples of diversity here (besides LouLou's seemingly constant supply of NB's [and posts : ) ])

I don't have my own Jeep, but everyone in my club does so I really wanted mine to still look Jeeptastic (or Wranglerific if you prefer) like it belongs to me.

Nopey. And I could add "bump stops" if I needed them. The bottom pic has a tiny body lift and that helps.
