Well I got some brake line and some metal sheet stock. Started with just a simple frame for the bottom. I'm using the Rustler rear trans and was going to use the front Rustler setup. But now looking at it. I might do like others have done and use a jato front suspension. Rustler is setting me back a few weeks. So will be a wile before I have at least the front jato arms to mock up the chassis with. Guess that gives me more time to Eyeball / Research things. Would like some droop so looks like a real sandcar / rail when jumping.

When I get set with the Rustler and get it off my bench, up and running. I can start on the actual build and make a thread of it. At least Ill have the Rustler to use as a test bed for parts.

My future non newbrights will be in the other forum to try and make use of it. The one with my Losi D/T in it.. I have not made a thread about my Rustler yet since there really is nothing to show.
When I get it running I have been thinking about making one, Or wait till the body is painted.
The Rustler, I thought would be running today since I got it setup and only needed an ESC which came in the mail today. For some stupid resin, I did not look at the receiver and controler to make sure they had the same crystal
set. When I went to program the ESC and had problems. Thats when I noticed it. So my Rustler will be setting hobby money back a few weeks now that could of been spent on other projects.

But I do have about 5ft of 3/16ths brake line
4ft of solid 1/8th rod, 6ft of 3/16ths solid rod
and 6inch by 16inch 16 gage flat stock. To mess around with brazing etc. Maybe make bumpers and a roll over bar for the rustler. Then use rest to start the sand car / rail. I have a simple chassis setup for rustler parts to check the wheel base that would best soot it. Not sure on scale of it yet. Have to check Toys r us etc. And see what size lights and guys they have that would fit a certain scale. Thinking 1/8th or 1/10th. Since the sand car/ rail is going to take time to build and might be a tad heavy. I am thinking of making it more of a scale machine, and using the rustler as a performance
RIG. So in time the electronics and some parts of the Rustler will find their way on the Sand car. I am thinking of using a 3 channel on the Sand car, so I can run lights.

Would be neat to make it a Police D.A.R.E. rig with markings from my town.
