Hi, my newbright rockcrawler only works within about 20 feet then stops until Iget closer. Is this normal? If not how do I fix it to get better range? Fresh batteries do not make a difference. Do not have manual for this, was there anything in there that would address this issue.
Thanks

Yeah its fun to play with on the rocks, but when my 3 year old can't even get it to go across the living room floor it's kinda a bummer.

I'm a HAM and I can gurantee he's not transmitting on any frequencies even close to what your RC is using. Any interference you're having isn't coming from him. If it were, the FCC would take his license. Whatever you do, don't damage his equipment/antenna or the FCC will come down on you Smile

Edit - just noticed you are in Canada. I can only assume the Canadian equivelent of the FCC is as stringent in their rules/regs.

Darksyde hit the nail on the head. Indoor electronics mess any remote controlled car up especially the lower bands. My traxxis stampede flew out of control once driving it inside (stupid i know). Guy at a hobby store told em it was unknown band lengths running within the house.

The stubble says it all...It's a JEEP thing...

INside or outside does not make a difference, neither does switching frequencies. Driving it through the family room, into the kitchen out to the dining room, then I lose it. So 15 -20 feet at the most. Sitting outside on the front porch, can't get to the sidewalk under power, again about the same distance.
