(There doesn't seem to have been a poll set up on here for a long time.)
The "New Bright Modifications" forum has become very busy, and due to the range of models covered it can often be unclear which one is being referred to - even experienced users seem to get confused at times! Also, Nylint's seem to be quite popular, so should there be more visibility for them? Therefore, what do you think of the suggestion to create additional forums, based on scale and/or brand ? The other existing RC Forum (Radio Control Trucks) in the "Outdoor Hobbies" area could then remain dedicated to "Nitro and other" vehicles. If you have any comments/suggestions that have not been incorporated, such as Brands, scales and/or Forum proposals, please add a comment. *********************** If it's worth doing, do lots of it! - Steve |

Try to remember that rcboards is owned by "ROCKCRAWLER." ROCKCRAWLER is the one that sponsored New Bright heavily in making these toys.
So its unlikely you'll see another brand pop up that has nothing to do with ROCKCRAWLER. I do wish that I could go to ONE forum to discuss all of my different RC's. I've got three Nylints and 3 New Brights. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum is a cool place to go though in case you've never been. Theres an entire sub-forum dedicated to 1:6 and 1:18 Nylint crawlers. A few of us are on there. GrandCheroCrawler = WKCRAWLER.. loulou = texx Ramza = Ramza Anyone else? |

Good info and comments, guys;
I see the link with New Bright (that's how I got here!), but then the mag doesn't make Jeeps or any of the other vehicles which have dedicated forums. I would have thought they provide the boards to raise awareness of the Rockcrawler brand and enhance interest in their publication. Young (and not-so-young) modellers are potential full-sizer 'crawlers (and magazine buyers) of the future - and of course there are those of us who did it the other way around! The NB Modifications forum in particular is over 100 times more active than the one in "Outdoor Hobbies", (and most other forums) and making it more organised would enhance its clarity and therefore appeal. It would be more user-friendly, particularly with so many postings it would be easier to navgate threads, especially when you'd been away for a few days. This message has been edited. yes - sub forums would be good - but like beequewl says
THERE IS ONLY ONE NEW BRIGHT HOME!!!! we stand a chance of becoming a "generic" site otherwise, and I personally think that there are already enough of them out there already.. when I want NB "thoughts" only - I just head right HERE |
