Question:
I have a 1994 Grand Jeep Cherokee - all wheel drive. Yesterday I stopped to put my jeep in 4 wheel low, becaue I was stuck in the snow, but I forgot to put the car in neutral position first. The car will not move forward or backward and the 4 wheel drive shift moves freely, like nothing is attached to it. Someone told me the 4 wheel drive is stuck in neutral and we need to move something in the transfer case to get it out of neutral position. Does anyone have any knowledge of this or any advise?

Later ... Never mind I found the problem. The linkage came out and we placed it back into positon in the transfer case and the car worked fine.

Choices:
Transfer case broken
Transfer case stuck in neutral position
