I own a 2001 grand cherokee and can only find 2in kits. Does anyone know if higher kits are available. If not how can I determine the largest tire that will fit with the 2in kit and the 7.5x16 rims that came on this jeep.

Hi there,
As of now there are a few companies offering lifts up to 6" or so...
Teraflextera offers their S4w that has had almost nothign but bad reviews...
OME or old man Emu has the best ride quality at 2" but you can always add a budget boost to total out at around 3.5" again great ride, but $$ around 800 total...
Then there is BDSsuspension which is $$ for what it offers no real complaints but not that many people running it..
The new kid is Iron rock offroad, and they offer a 3" and 4" short arm lift with not much difference other than adjustable Tbar and a tcase drop, adjustable short arms are offered, and so far not one complaint about the kit, all positive, and nothing but great reviews of their service....My pic... they also offer two long arm kits, one front only and easy to install, and another...
Then there is the piece together kits, you buy JKS adjustable short arms, the best but $$$ again,JKS get a Tbar from them too, buy the IRO 4" springs and A arm spacer, then some shocks and a ton of other parts, and you're there...

Then there is Rusty's They still offer a 4.5" kit, I have heard both good and bad as far as service goes, but themn again everyone has an opinion...especially me Smile

Once you go through all this there is this thought, how HI do I wanna be??? the end for most of us is right here with Clayton's Hard arm long arms and crossmember, it will be my next step and I wish as most do that I just ponied up initially.. you could physically lift to 8" I think here, but anywhere past 6" seems futile without axles and the like...
long arm king
Here is one of the best out there for parts and help, Kevin and Nick know all, Kevin has pulled his piece together lift off the site, no idea why but he will still help you more than most ever could...

OK so I babble on and on, there are a few more, and each one has it's good points and bad, some more than others...., but look on jeepsunlimited for the most recent round of lift talk..

Oh and you have 16x7"ers and a 245/75/16 will fit at 2" and up and stuff perfectly...a 265/70/16 will too with minor rubbing on the front arms at full lock.. a 265/75/16 will need some triming in the front, real minor, and rub the rear fender liner at full stuff just a hair..
The pita with the WJ and lifts is that suspension geometry is real critical here, and the wrong combo tends to creat a situation we dread called death wobble, I have had it and fixed it, things like harder Tbar bushings to better locate the axle and some other things resolve it well... Good times and remember JEep stands for J ust E mpty E very P ocket

but the WJ is the best of them...
