Hi every body i was just wondering if a 540 size motor will fit on the new bright axle. I know that you will have to make major mods but i was only wondering if it was achievable. If any of you have done it pics would be great!!

hi 4 wheel, it is possible i have attempted this but gave up as the amount of cutting and reconstruction was to great . also it would only be possible with hobby grade esc .

One day, someone showed me a glass of water that was half full. And he said, "Is it half full or half empty?" So I drank the water. No more problem. ~Alexander Jodorowsky

sorry 4 wheel i abandoned this project because i found it to difficult to install ,if you want 540 motors you would be better of looking for 2 bug gearboxes and transferring your chassis on to the gearboxes .also the yukon has this gearbox .like i said it is possible but much work is involved .

yes loulou sorry i do not know if 4 wheel has the 1/10 or the 1/6 but would not attempt this with a 1/10 the gears are to small to mesh with a 540 pinion .

well thanks for the advice... but if i were to install 2 280 motors on 1 axle instead of a 540 would that be easier to mod? (by the way i have a 1/10 fj =D)

wow 2 motors looks amazing... did you hook up the second motor to the other motors connector? or did you use 2 speed controls? and what did you use to make the mold for the second motor?

looks like the second motor was just grafted on to the case with epoxy resin make sure the pinion lines up with the spur gear Wink
