Alright guys i do believe i have caught the tuber disease and i am now in the early stages of development. i have been starting to make thoe tuber out of bendy straws. so that i can play with the angles. also if i mess up on something its no big loss. i have already taken the electronics out of my old crawler. now i am stuck with the descision of (A)Make a tuber modeled after the truck body i got and just run it bare like that or (B) do i make the tuber fit inside the body and mount the body on top of that. i am thinking more along the lines of choice b. also i was thinking i will do some mods to the body to at least make it look like a stock trail rig. but those details come later. right now i am focused on the mock up of the tuber.

Ok i have come to a descision. i will do both of them. thats the easy solution. reason i will do both is i will make a cage on the inside of the truck so that it will be sturdy. that we will be a body that i would try and swap on and off my other crawler. As for project Full throttle its going to be a full tube frame. so at least i now have a certain direction in which i am going.

Oh yeah i forgot to mention why i choose the name full throttle for my project. The name came from my favorite Energy drink ( Full Throttle). its made by coca cola so it at least taste pretty good. unlike some other nasty ones out there. me likes the energy drink plus the cool lookin logo. yeah, il take a few and post them up in at least 24 hours, for bracing i think you just want to do it at every corner/split point, then for good measure, throw one in everywhere there are gaps, i skipped one spot at the front, but double braced it at the back to kind of compensate, i skipped it so i could squeeze the rec and esc in and out and ease of battery usage... as for your shape, i dont know about the truck shape (it looks GREAT), in my opinion you should build it around the axles and electronics and the suspension, if you just keep the truck body in mind you can still build it like that and then have the body fit on, i dont know its your project! im not bashing your stuff bro, ONE LOVE, but where is the four link gonna go? i know your not done and im looking forward to seeing this project develop

yeah i have put the truck off to the side now. i took some pictures today of my new development. this one is more concentrated around the electroncis and what not. i figure i will start the tuber off my encasing the electronics. then maybe cover up the bottoms and side with a plastic. so as long as i have straws, scissors, and a hot glue gun i am in business. thanks for taking some pics. i will find out how much materials will cost me tomorrow. hopefully i can get the stuff through my shop teacher that way it will be cheaper.

all you need is tubing and some sort of sheet... check your local dollar store for plastic cutting boards, i think those would work pretty good, i might actually build a scale truck frame out of that (super future development) could even be shaft driven D:

today my progress was bracing my new frame up. i think i might have gone a little over kill but that never hurts. now i have to think of what kind of gear i want to use. i think i am going to go the loulou/jjcale gear reduction. maybe even surpass those. i was thinking of getting a 60 tooth spur gear like the one flapding uses. then put a ten tooth pinion on that some how. i know i am getting a head of my self but its ood to think ahead. also 1/4 inch brake line will cost me 3 bucks for 3 ft. not a bad deal. plus my shop teacher says i can use his tube bender for my project.
