Hello .......

Flexibility is disastrous on LAND ROVER 1 / 6 ..

All those who have already improved the flex their LAND ROVER 1 / 6, are invited to give their idés, and their good advice on this TOPIC ..

Some work has already been done on this subject .... But further explanations and new peaks would appreciate ..

This will certainly help us in our future work ....

THANK ..

My first question ..

JACOB S, your system is very interesting .. Could you give us more details and photos .. If possible .. THANK

loulou,
With the power of the landrover, you will recall my modifications to my flex were a failure! I cut out too much of the rear where the axles mount in the chassis. THis weakened the rear axle structure and broke it, forcing me to make a four link!! So just take care Smile
If someone on here still has a stock setup on a 1:6 jeep they can show you how this works. it is very similar to these pictures of the lr3 you have posed. Study the flex alot first! I trimmed a little to much and broke it!!
you will excel in this area loulou, we are confident!

JEEP3R .. On these two images, the flex seems much improved ..

This is a JEEP crawler, but I believe they have the same frame ..

This is JEEP (R_1) ..

More explanation on the work accomplished (Axis / hub) would be good ..

HELLO ....

I tried to make these small plans, the system of central axis of JACOB S (PIVOT) .. With a few small changes ..

We must cut two small plastic extentions from tip to arm and enlarge the cage of the axis, for a good swing arm ..

A long bolt crossing both arms, with a hole in the center ..

Another bolt fly through it, to be securely fixed on the frame ..

When do you think?

((( I just followed the road, which was already mapped out, I did not invent )))

Thank

YES .. Change the servo motor location is the best solution if we want to have a good flex at the front ..

If you have other images assembly (servo motor), would have appreciated ..

PS .. I get my pieces (bearing metal) in approximately 15/20 days, they come from the GREAT BRITAIN .. I paid by money order ..
I have to be very patient ..

My diffs are open for a long period :-)

meantime, I will work on the frame (to make it more solid), and I will order my oil shocks next week ..

I have information to ask NOT A TOY, on installing bearing in the hub .. I believe this is more difficult to install ..

Do not forget the images of installing the servo motor ..

THANK ... MR JACOB S

loulou,
the jeep and the LR are not the same chassis or suspension setup

the jeep has an extra pivot in the middle of where the axle mounts to the chassis. also the shocks are alot softer, that is why it can get more articulation when stock.
That is why when I saw that Jacob setup on the LR it looks like a metal version of the jeep setup.
hope this makes sense.

OK ..
I thought that was similar to JEEP LAND ROVER (flex) ..

I saw the images of the jeep and I found that flexibility was very high ..

I'll buy the NAT / JEEP .. later .. and make it a crawler ..

I do not regret my LAND ROVER, I will make my improvements .. with pleasure ..

I'll try to improve the flex .. but very little .. may be that the pivot (JACOB S) would be a good solution ..

THANK J33P3R for this information ..

loulou,
I actually think the power of the landrover with stock electronics combined with your modification wizardry could build a great crawler.

monstre robot Rover

My reasoning -
1. the LR has 5 times the radio range as the jeep with stock radio gear.

2. the LR has 3 times the power in the motors, theyre just geared too high for crawling.

3. you're a genius.

put this together and you get the
Monster Crawler Rover, all with stock electronics!!

J33P3R ..
I would really be able to build a crawler with this LAND ROVER .. (The temptation is strong) but I hesitate a little ..

This is my first big r/c, and I would like as much as possible, keep stock, but make all my mods anyway .. I would have in the hands, a super LAND ROVER improved and later, in the fall, I would order the JEEP, and finally build a crawler .. in the kind of YELLOW-CRAWLER ..

The best would be a LAND ROVER with a body JEEP .. voila

############################################

Until then, I will concentrate on the frame, the joint between the plastic blue and black, is so fragile .. make it stronger would be an advantage ..

I will receive my metal bearing in about 12/15 days (GREAT BRITAIN) ..

after, I order my oil shocks ( X 8 )(RC Buggy Truck 103mm Pressure Oil Shock & Spring) directly from HONG KONG :-)

Maybe a different brand? with a price a little higher? I seek ..

http://cgi.ebay.com/4-x-RC-Buggy-Truck-103mm-Pressure-O...p1638Q2em118Q2el1247

した後、私が注文私の石油ショック( rcバギー103ミリメートル圧力石油ショック&春のトラック)に直接より香港:-)

NAT .. I will undoubtedly improve the flex of LAND ROVER somewhat .. but I am still uncertain to make a crawler .. time will tell :-)

If I had a JEEP-NAT-RED and BLACK, I would build a crawler without problems .. this autumn, I promised I get this JEEP .. a JEEP is designed to climb :-)

PS .. NAT ..

Could you give me a few pics of the central pivot of ( JEEP )

OK .. I find this pic, which demonstrates very well the flex of JEEP ..

The pivot seems to me like the 1/10 RUBICON .. LAND ROVER it needs more changes, to give him a good flex .

JEEP ............

The system, JACOB S seems to be the only way forward .. for LAND ROVER ......

loulou, I have jeep and LR in 1:6, I find jacobs mods to be the best way to emulate the jeeps articulation in the LR.
