just wonderin if i should pick this up. its from the source electronics store, and they have a 7.2v nicd battery pack that has 2000mah. just wonderin if that was enough to power the new bright?
Depends what you want. SLOWER? Yes. Longer run? sure. Try a slightly higher voltage for more power. I did a test run on a 12 volt DeWalt drill pack last night. Not bad. More powerful, but also faster. Tough trade...

I just finished a 12v lithium ion battery upgrade on mine (six 18650 3.7v cells scavenged from a laptop battery) and it kicks butt! It is a bit faster, but the proportional throttle works fine. It's got a lot more torque at low speeds and will run a lot longer thanks to the 3200mAh rating of the battery pack. I played with it for over an hour with no sign of loosing charge.
Well, I ripped out the speedometer 'cuz I don't need it on the trails , but it feels about 30-40 percent faster... Quite a bit really, made finesse crawling a little tougher. Still proportional, but "jumpy". Little touch on the throttle and she'd jump the next rock. Not sure if I'll keep it that way...
