easiest way for a 1:10 I am not sure of as I do not have one.
One of my 1:10 shells has 1:6 axles and the other 1:10 shell has 1:18 axles Smile One looks like monster truck, one looks like scaler.

I have dremelled the top of my axles/diffs flat. Just cut everything off except for the screw hole stubs. then trace some paper around where you want the plat to go. Transfer this to aluminium and cut it out, trace the holes and screw the screws back through the plate and a bit of epoxy and you then have a solid plate to work on.
then get some material for your cane, then screw it to the plate. I actually have some tabs cut on the plates so it is already sticking up to mount stuff too.
I made it with four link mounts as well so they are very universal.
then just mount your battery somewhere near the front. balance out the rest of your electronics around the chassis and your ready to go.

What 1/18th axles did you use, or going to use? What is the track width etc.?
