That's pretty cool lookin dude, I love those tires! I wonder what would happen if you actually submerged the differential..hmm? I don't think the motors are waterproof.

A while back I created a post http://rcboards.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8401055751/m/5181012143 which provided a link to an website that provided good info on motors and such. It was there that I found out about the water break-in method for electric motors. Apparently these things have no problems running under water. Just do a google search on "water break-in electric motor" and you'll see what I'm talking about. Sure surprised me!! I was also a little bit surprised that my original post created no discussion as many people here are quite intent on getting the best from their equipment and apparently motor break-ins really work. all motor can go in water. I take my clod in my creek all the time. only thing needs be waterproofed is esc, servo and rx. in NB case you guys could just dip your circuit board right in some plasti-dip. if you run HG elec in your NB dip in your esc in plasti-dip and bag the servo and rx in balloons. heres my 2.2 tuber that just came back from a creek run being completely submerged for about 50 feet through muddy, icy water. and new clod I waterproofed already. I love playin in water and mud, its so fun especialyl when your whole backyard is a crawling spot with creek.

from a eletronics stand point you'll really need to worry about heat causing chipcreep on some of the high voltage or high current componants. if you seal them they won't have heat dissapation. that'll make them expand and break loose from the PCB. another option is to add a snorkel like the real trucks for venting. you've got to seal the surrounding electronics and add a pipe up above the top of the truck. then you can drive all the way under water!
