Ok well i havent seen anybody on here yet do a dovetail to their jeep. So i will be doing this tonight. I will also inboard the springs depending on the flex i can acheive by doing the dovetail. I'll post pics tonight.

I was thinking about it but I still don't have the resources to extend my shock shafts properly... just did a trip to home depot today and bought a bunch of 4 link parts so maybe when I find my bench grinder....

Well i inboarded the springs with the stock hardware. I'm not sure i like it to much. Maybe with longer screws it may be better. But i cut another coil out and it's a little better. I mean holding the axles i can get almost 90 ° flex. But on it's on it still seems to tight. Still deciding. After careful examination the dovetail experiment is going to be a PITA. But i'm here to chill for a cpl min. Then back to the table to see what i can come up with.

I dunno... maybe I srewed up. I inboarded my front shocks just like everyone else but it didn't do anything for me... in fact it's a lot worse now.

When I inboarded mine it was only like 1/2" but i moved them back all the way to the body tub. Actually a small cliff prompted me to move them by removing the top shock mounts for me. I cleaned up what was left of the top shock mount (The round pad with the split in it the screw runs through) drilled a 1/2" hole close to the tub and glued the shock pad directly to the top frame plate over the hole, then cleaned it all up with a dremel It allows the axle to articulate easier by putting more leverage on the shock fulcrum point, so I can run a longer screw and stronger spring and get full articulation on its own without added weight and only have about 1/4" of static sag in the suspension.

looks like you have some binding goin on with that inboard. shouldnt flex in space like that.
maybe make the holes a little bigger so it doesnt bind up.
