hi jacob.s here are a couple of pics of the 1/6 jeep servo .mounted on top the way i did it was to turn the gearbox 360 degrees and make a bracket to sit on top of the gearbox i cut the stock fixing points to the chassie and installed a 4link . one pic is before clean up the other is after clean up ..i think you may need j33p3r for this he has your model .its gearbox may be different .YOU THERE JEFF...

for my four link an dservo mounting, I have to get some pics. I cut everything off the top of the gearbox and made it flat. Then I screwed a metal plate in the four holes that would normally hold the shock mount and another screw toward the other side of the gearbox. Hard to explain but its easy to do and its bullet proof. So far I have broken 2 seering horns and bent 4 links but the mounting never even looked like coming away from the axle.

I'd like to ask how can I stop my land rover, when I driving on the top and stop motors it goes down. I saw films with crawlers nad they don't move down.

There could be two reasons:

1) the ESC is hobby grade with an electric brake. More expensive ones will even allow you to program the brake function

2) they have really low gearing and high turns on their motors which makes them not want to roll easily unless under power.

My Wheely King will not easily roll backwards down a steep incline for these very two reasons.

no, I have nothing news about my front pivot, I gave some information in your topic "flex and Servo", and I didn't make anything else. My front pivot works very good but the rear one don't becouse it's turning. I know why, I have to give more washers:

Thanks to NOT A TOY and his topic about diff lock I made my first diff lock with epoxy and it's working.
LOULOU I agree that this Land Rover isn't crawler but I can't agree that it can't be a crawler. My Land Rover have nice flex but I know that it should be beeter for crawler. I have new idea to make flex much better and I believe that it will be a crawler. But first I have to make cables for servo longerBig Grin

JACOB S ..

Make flex back to me seems feasible .. but the front flex, (with the servo direction) is more complicated to do (it must surely it moved?) ..

If you have more information and photos, this facility (front) ..

You have known trouble with the back ?

You have settled this problem ?

you are right with the servo directions, it's dificult to change. I can change only rear suspension and it will be much better. I have to make new shocks. without them flex is much better. I'll send some pics later.
