it was like 5 bucks i think from the wally mart...

I think its stainless steel, but then im not sure...
do they make a hardened steel for screws or something? All i know is the tool bent and the screw didnt even have any marks on it... of course I eventually gave up because I couldnt cut them with anything I have here, but I only have simple hand tools.

The cable cutter jaws on most 10 inch linesmans pliers will cut any screws we use for the models.
I always use these. Sure it cuts the end into a point/wedge instead of nice and flat like your shear type cut there.
I just then run the screw through the cutter to clean up the thread, then test fit the nut and all is good

I'm lucky just to be alive these days......I have been sick since July (Lyme disease) And getting the newbright and this forum has helped me out allot to deal with things.. If it wasn't for this forum etc. I would proberbly be sitting in bed in pain and not doing anything about it..

Ambition has been very hard for me to get. these days. Most of my organs are inflamed and there isn't much I can do about it.

Have to go for now.
