I saw a pic the other day of a 1/6 hummer with an exocage made of plastic coat hanger. I spent a few hours yesterday mocking up a cage for the NB. Here's the pics

Cage on crawler, I havn't epoxied yet as I'm not settled on the design. Have to bend in and narrow the roof line a little.

A thinner hanger would have been perfect, I find it look's a little thick compared to on a 1/6. The cage will serve no purpose other than it may look pretty cool once painted and mounted properly.

the cage is in 4 major pieces (used 4 hangers), at the moment they are being held together with a bit of tape. It is actually quite rigid with a bit of tape . Providing I can bond it together with something that will hold I don't see why you wouldn't be able to make a chassis with it. In retrospect I would have loved to have tied my shocks into the cage but thats a little to much to rework.

I had already worked with these plastic hangers. . I made a stinger for MIX-CRAWLER but I did not have to solder, it was quite screwed .. For the folded, I had heated .. I think that both ends heater at the same time and then bringing together the seal is successful .. Just an idea

Those are crawlers based on a tube chassis, an exocage surrounds your existing body
