That's 1 of 2 options for drop in replacement motors, the other would be the Speed 280 motor having higher rpm and less torque than the 19160 you linked to.

Ok, and these have an increase in torque over the stock motors?

Yes they have more torque. They are a much better motor overall. There's plenty been written about them in these forums for you to research as well.

Holy Cheese and Crackers! I'm honestly not trying to be a wiseass but I just used the 'Find' button for the first time and typed in 19160 and it presented a whole bunch of threads Smile I never even knew we could search like that!

I know you arent being a wiseass, and i am NO noob to searching, but i didnt know 19160 was what i needed to search for.

And this boards message system... not to offend anyone... SUCKS. It needs to be vBulletin. MUCH better search and you can preview posts without actually having to open them, merely by hovering the mouse over them.

I ordered my motors today. should be in by Tuesday. Now... where are the gears? (hint hint mark).

Has anyone installed the Jameco torque motors?

Are they noticeably better than the stock NB motors?

Are they worth the nominal amount of money they cost?

Thanks,

I was going to order some just a little while ago. They will only send by UPS to Canada, They used to send by USPS but not any more. The shipping charge was ridiculous! Close to $30 to ship 2 $5 motors. I`d like to try them but I wont pay that amount for shipping.

Looking on the Jameco website I see

UC-280S-19160-R
Jameco P/N 232005

Is this the correct motor?
No one seems to mention the -R on the part number.

Thanks,

Biggest problem with any search feature. Is the people making the threads, How they word their threads. With this being a small forum, most take it for advantage that people will just look or know what their thread is about..

If this was for instance a car forum. And the thread was about a cold air intake.
Most people would, which cold air intake is better or something like that.

smaller the forum and less individuals will always make the search feature harder no matter what board it is. R/C in particular is a pain in the but the search / research things for. You can go on another board even V boards and go through pages of crap that does not even answer you search. just a word some one used in a 20 page thread.
