Is the one from radio shack a hard pack? It doesn't matter though, does it?

Thanks

I was running through the snow. At times it would get stuck - front tires spining, back tires not moving (other times it was the oposite). The truck itself is ok. Because changing the gear ratio is out of the question, I need more juice.

Will the radioshack 1600 nimah improve this? How about pluging in a 1500, 7.2v nicad (from high powered RC trucks)? The voltage is less, but it may provide more current.

Who has tried this, and what's the results?

I stole a NiMH off another car i had, and noticed the same results. Longer run time for the same charge. I also do believe that it is a flat cell as charles posted.

I've got the New Bright 1250 Mah Nimh from another r/c. Doesn't do much for the power. Does however give better run times...

If it ain't broke, gimme a minute!

More power eh Ive been lookin at Tamiya pinions and found that some have the same inner shaft diameter. These are like 9 tooth and smaller. Be on the look out this si where youll find power my friends!

Smaller, softer tires may help as well. Ground clearance will suffer but your gear ratio will be cut down quite a bit. Thats a pretty direct route that i may try.
