hi guys i have completed the test on the 1/6 hub modification and found it a great success ,this mod eliminates the side movement of the hub carrier also give much strength to the weak pivot point , i have used a 6mm threaded rod .the hub was drilled and tapped with a 5mm drill and a 6mm tap , i also put a little super glue on the threads of the rod were it enters the hub .you will see buy the pics that in order for this mod to work i had to cut the hub carrier in half and drill out 2 extra fixing holes in the carrier and small self tapping screws were used to fix this back i found the hole process easy to do and the end result was a very strong hub carrier and pivot point , with no side movement of the hub carrier due to the extra fixings , thanks hope this can be of use to the 1/6 owners .

yes they would also work great loulou i just used threaded rod because it was all i had at the time but these bolts would be better for the job.

that is very true loulou less wear and much stronger than the stock plastic holders i found the small screws that use to retain the hub a pain because the kept dropping out but this eliminates that problem .
