Hi guys, Decided to try something different with some thrift store nb's Smile

started with two 2wd nb's

removed both rear axles

used spare parts from nb crawler to convert one axle for steering

cut tires to fit nb crawler wheels

made some mounts & used some 3/4 alum. channel for chassis

That's all I've got for now,was thinking of using this body??

One day, someone showed me a glass of water that was half full. And he said, "Is it half full or half empty?" So I drank the water. No more problem. ~Alexander Jodorowsky.....

Hi Fellas,..Got a little more done on "cheap cane "

made steering links, installed elec. board... front motor fet is burned out so i hooked both motors to rear motor output...works fine...wired for twin batt. packs

Only 2-3/4" of flex ,but wasn't going for a super flex rig anyway Big Grin

to increase flex on a home made cane

put paint can (1 pint) or equivelent size under front left wheel. Prop up a hammer or more paint cans on rear left wheel. Leave over night. rinse and repeat for all 4 wheels. The aluminium will gain flex to a certain point. do it SLOWLY or you will stress it and it will resemble a pretzel Smile

Hey J33P3R,welcome back...I'm not concerned with a lot of flex..I just built this one to use up some of the misc. parts cluttering my work table Smile Any updates on your cane jeep ??

Loulou, the diffs are the same as 1/10 NB but only have 2 gears Smile

Hey Nat, the flex is only 2-3/4" but looks ok for a scale-ish rig Big Grin Razz Wink
