Just got my FJ Cruiser from KB and it is rock crawls ok, but the shocks are too stiff and the battery is too week after 15 minutes for anything but straight lines on the concrete.

Any recommendations to get some flex on and perhaps a replacement battery?

Mike (GotJeep) Omaha ..
Welcome to the forum ..

You will have all the information for improved flex your crawler .. Several options available to you ..

And expansion (cut the plastic) cages axes, improves significantly the flex .. These mods are all explained on the forum ..

I let you read some thread (topic) for information .. and return us with your questions ..

The stock has 600mAh battery .. choose a battery with more mah, and your crawler will run time longer ..

The stock shock may be replaced by oil shock ..

THANK ..

hi guys , it is true the stock batteries on this model are very poor , it would be best to upgrade to the stick packs loulou has shown around the 3000+ mah will give you a good run time . of course these will not fit the stock location , so you will need to make room inside the chassie for this batt and of course install body posts so access can be gained ,very easy to do . the shocks i would recommend hobby oil shocks .as loulou has shown , there are lots on the market ,hpi savage range give good damping force and also are long for good articulation . thanks , Big Grin

One day, someone showed me a glass of water that was half full. And he said, "Is it half full or half empty?" So I drank the water. No more problem. ~Alexander Jodorowsky.....
