I have never drained 2 fully charged batteries when playing, whoops I mean testing Razz Remember I have had snow since I got it at christmas so I was driving fro maybe 45 minutes or so and experienced no drop at all in performance so alot longer than that.
The cutout is designed to protect it, it does make it a poor crawler but the landrover is geared for more speed. Im sure if the gear ration is lowered the strain on the esc and therefore the temperature of it will be lower so the cutouts less. with the same incline as the crawler and the same grip, the landrover would cutout on a 45 degree slope. Youw ill see, it is fun still!! Smile it is not to crawl well from stock.

J33p3r .. THANK .. For all this information ..

The timing seems very good and this cutout must be essential for the electronics (stock) .

NAT ..............................
All your post on the subject (bearings) are they only for JEEP (NAT RED and BLACK CRAWLER)
or the same bearings adapt to LAND ROVER ..

There are two types of bearings .. I think ..

Bearings for the hub ( 2 ) and bearings inside the diff ( 4 ).
If your answer is positive I want you give me the exact measurements of these two different bearing ..
And also, if you can give me the link to specialty stores ..

I would like to be certain of size (measure) before ordering :-)

THANK ........

loulou. there is a easy soloution to the cut out problem .it only cuts out when the board gets hott keep the board cool it will not cut out thats why you see some hobby esc with fans on to keep them cool and stop them cutting out.p.s i have updated link for your bearings and a good greas is best for dog bones thanks

One day, someone showed me a glass of water that was half full. And he said, "Is it half full or half empty?" So I drank the water. No more problem. ~Alexander Jodorowsky.....

it is a built in overload to protect the stock electronics, it does not do it alot. I bet it would cut out if you try the board testyou had for yellow crawler. the car is designed to run at higher speeds than the crawler from stock. the radio range is 10 times better than the crawler for this reason too. you will see, you can make it better crawler. after modifying mine a bit, suspension, exacto cut tires and a stiffer frame, I could climb a 5 foot packed snowpile with it. It was steep too, the wheels were slipping a little so the cutouts do not trip. It is only if it is under load at slow speed with full traction. Which, in the normal world is not very often, but in the crawling world is more frequent.

hoep this helps.
Good buyingloulou, you will be impressed!!

u if your happy with the run time then dont bother it is just a sugestion. also if you did whant to install you would have to make your own custom brackets and rig a power supply for the fan may be a square 9v batt with swich .. but if you are happy with run time as jeff is dont bother thanks .

loulou, dont plan on fixing what is not broken yet Razz

drive it, beat it, evaluate it, then fix the problems. you may not even have it cutout!!

Mine cut out when a) too much snow and b) too much traction on incline. you wait, on rocks like you have, there is no traction so much wheel spin will occur instead of cutout.

also when you test drive it, warn the people on the ground floor below your rock garden, if it gets traction, it will jump the railingSmile it is fast loulou. best toy/hobby grade I have seen. for speed.
first thing I would plan on is body mounting, it has plastic body mounts and body pins. Get some metal pins and mount some better rear mounts.
this is half the problem of the rear BLUE part of the chassis having stress fractures. the leverage is massive there the weight of the body is not that much but with the length of it and the rear mounts being so far back with all the bouncing it stresses that blue part. thats why my first mod was the aluminium rails that you saw on my old Avatar. It eliminated the stress and the associated rattle noises

J33p3r .. Nat .. Thank for the information ..
They are very important for me ..

J33p3r .. You tell me that the pieces of blue plastic are fragile .. Especially the rear .. I would have liked to keep these pieces stock .. But I will try to find a way to make them stronger .. Metal / dubbing plactic / aluminum plate reinforcement .. Or any other means .. I will study these blue piece ..

But one thing is certain .. I go to HG, but not at the moment ..

I post the monny order this afternoon .. I still have to wait a week or two ..

And ask a hundred questions to J33P3R and NOT A TOY :-)

PEPSI break .. THANK

loulou, In hindsite and looking at my old picture there Smile
I would straight away design a set of side mount body mounts. The landrover comes with a spare set of body mounts anyway! This would take the biggest pressure off the blue rear piece. Then remove one shock from each side. They are 2 different compounds so remove the stiff one. Then there is the shock in the center too that acts like the center stay of a 3 link. I removed this but we saw what ended up happening to my LR chassis Razz .I ore the rear end out. Maybe a little too much articulation. just a touch Smile
Lou lou, I am excited to see your outcome , you are a great builder in the RC.
Welcome to the next level (in size)
