You can do it for about $85 on Ebay: $30 for reciever and radio, $35 for esc, $20 for servo. Full hobby upgrade. Shipping charges not included. In short, there really is no cheapest / easiest solution to servo replacement. I'd leave the stock servo alone and just learn to live with it.
good advice, i will probably end up doing the whole hobby upgrade for the tubbernaut :-/ just sneak it by the girlfriend muahaha, for the other two rigs i will keep it stock
I have to remove the spring of the return to the center, that helps much. For the slow-crawling, the power steering stock works well for me.
If one could more extremely find a motor which would replace the original, it would be well................or, it is necessary to go to the hobby upgrade :-)
Let us hope that our forum (the only) for TOY + MODS = BETTER TOY .. will always ((living ))
You could always find a motor with the same dimensions as the steering motor only with more torque. I have disassembled the steering box completely- it wouldn't be that hard to swap them, just need to figure out which motor to buy...
