i believe that there is no direct swap for a servo for the stock nb esc and receiver etc... whats the easiest cheapest way to upgrade steering servo!?

You can do it for about $85 on Ebay: $30 for reciever and radio, $35 for esc, $20 for servo. Full hobby upgrade. Shipping charges not included. In short, there really is no cheapest / easiest solution to servo replacement. I'd leave the stock servo alone and just learn to live with it.

good advice, i will probably end up doing the whole hobby upgrade for the tubbernaut :-/ just sneak it by the girlfriend muahaha, for the other two rigs i will keep it stock

I have to remove the spring of the return to the center, that helps much.
For the slow-crawling, the power steering stock works well for me.

If one could more extremely find a motor which would replace the original, it would be well................or, it is necessary to go to the hobby upgrade :-)


Let us hope that our forum (the only) for TOY + MODS = BETTER TOY .. will always ((living ))

yeah it would be great to find a replacement steering servo. instead of putting a giant hobby grade one in.

You could always find a motor with the same dimensions as the steering motor only with more torque. I have disassembled the steering box completely- it wouldn't be that hard to swap them, just need to figure out which motor to buy...

yeah your probably right. wonder if u got one of those jameco motors. and could swap it in with the stock steering motor.

yes but they are smaller than the drive motors. I'll get pictures of both tonight when i get home.
