THANK .. NAT ..
I will study this big baby and make a few road tests (in the house) the snow is still too much ..
To know his behaviour .. I can go to HG for a while .. I will do research on EBAY .. By QUEBEC prices are very high ..
I will probably some improvements .. The shock / bearing / antenna / lights (if) / locked the rear diff / solidify some parts of his frame ...

But I would keep stock (for appearance) not cutting plastic on the body ..
I will study the comments made on the 1 / 6 land rover in this forum ..
To know all its secrets :-)

NAT ..
The 1/10 has brought me much pleasure .. I did my best and I am proud of my many models ..

Changes were many with this model .. And we could modify it to make it real crawler ..

I said GOODBY .. 1/10 RUBICON NEWBRIGHT .. THANK

The LAND ROVER will never be a true crawler (by design) I think? ..

But I am confident of fun with him but in a different way ..

But I ask this question .....

((there does still own a LAND ROVER 1/6, which is still active on the board (for the changes)?

i understand loulou i know you love your 1/10 crawlers and they are very good .the 1/6 is entered .into the super class for crawlers this class is what started crawling of .and is the most successfull..i disagree with you that the lr3 will not be a crawler due to its very scale they can be made much more competent than eny 1/10 model there larger foot print can crush rocks that the 1/10 struggles to get over i know this for fact i have tryd it believe me there is no contest.the 1/10 loses out every time. jeff and i will be on hand to help you with any thing you may need for this model. thanks loulou.

i know and this is my fault i have not had the time or equipment to do this iam very sorry i wish you could see my crawler nothing stops it it is like a bull dozer .if the 1/6 is set properly they can win anything the diffs MUST BE LOCKD also run on 9.6 after hobby swap this is all it needs to perform well .

I like rovers more like a scale rig.. Can Nylint tires work?
yes they can work jeff tryd this on his 1/6 he said they were worse than the n.b tyers .

lets straighten up a few of those last 1 6 comments!!

The landrover runs 19.2volt. x 2, it has 2 19.2 volt batteries and puts up to 20 volts to the terminals of each motor on full accelleration!! 1 battery per motor, no BEC, another 4 x aa batteries for radio rx!!

The Nylint tyres can adapt. I have them now on my 1:6 jeep. They are only worse than NB on snow (too skinny) and on the board test. For straight out traction and climbing misshapped objects, ie rocks and stairs, the Nylints are 5 times better than NB, NAT, (taking my comments out of context I see Razz)
The reason it will take alot of work to crawl is the reason I bought my 1 6 jeep , the landrover has 19.2 volts running to 351 motors with like a 12 tooth pinion. it is fast , there are many steps to change to make it slow!! the stock esc has a cutout when it trys to climb, ie the board test at 45 degrees, or me trying to push snow shovel Smile before it slips or climbs it will over temp cutout.
so I still have one here pulled apart, it is 4 wheels steer configuration right now but it was too fast to drive with 4 wheels steer! like trying to ride a skateboard with the rubbers missing from the trucks, you are always turning, there is no straight!!
Thats when I got my jeep and havent modded the LR for a while.
so if loulou can slow it down with war tank gears and second hand store gear, I will be very interested in following him.
I suspect luolou has more modding time than me so I am not the best to follow.

Rise up again LOULOU, I am already waiting for your intitial rock pile test!!

long live 1:6

welcome to the big boys of NB LouLou Smile

i understand your thinking loulou but this is not true the 1/6 will cover the same ground as 1/10 only much better and with a lot less effort

the PIMP-CANE performanace expected to be more ( better )on the rock that the stock model ..

For you making a pimpcane style 1/6.. I think it would be best by just getting parts to make one from the junk yard section. All you will need is axles and a body. Chopping up the land rover with how hard it took you to get one. I can not see you doing that. more scale rover. Than use parts from newbright junk yard to make a cane style crawler. That is my opinion anyway. What is your thoughts NAT?
thing is wayne.s i dont think loulou whants to start cutting up a brand new truck just yet any how jeff would be the best one to advise him on this model. thanks

I only saw one 1/6 4x4. Also said the demand for 4x4 type seams to be hummers like hummer3 and japan name brand trucks. like titan/tundra..
So soon might see a Titan in 1/6 if so I will be all over it "Head bangs like a rock star" Hopfully.. They made a smaller titan for now.
can you remeber i told you about that hummer i was going to buy the yellow one but then the wife emptyd my wallet .that was a tundra iam sure .

I cut all my model 1 / 10 .. And I do not regret it ..

Lowered the body were for me the best solution for a crawler ..

The LAND ROVER not pass by my chainsaw :-) it will be an r/c different for me .. A reward ..

But I will give it some modds as I said earlier ..
