I just received my two 2500 maH battery packs. Right now I do not have a charger other than a 165mA charger that came with a NewBright 9.6 NiCd pack (with Tamiya connectors) I am assuming that I can use this as a stop-gap measure (until I get a more powerful charger) to charge the new batteries. Am I right to think that it would take about 15 hours to charge these batteries fully with this charger?

I haven't tried this yet and won't until I research this further but in the meantime if anybody has any experience/knowledge in this area, your comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sean

I don't think it would damage your other packs and I'm sure it would take a very long time to charge them, but the real issue is how many milliamps the stock NB charger will put out..it may only put out 600 to 800 milli's. Before I forked over the cash for my programmable digital Duratrax charger, I used a Radio Shack multi charger that held up pretty well. If you don't go to a decent hobby grade charger, then I recommend the Rat Shack $40 charger.

The charger came with a 600 maH battery so I guess that should be a clue that its highly insufficient. I've been looking at various chargers online and hopefully will have another soon.
