Thought you owned a Nylint 1/6 Loulou or was it just the 1/18th that you owned?

If you look at the width, thay are not as wide as stock 1/10th tires. So that might give you some thought into the NB 1/6th rim fitting.

Loulou,I haven't had a 1/6 nb so i don't know what would have to be done to make the nylint wheels/tires work.I'm sure with your building skills you could figure something out. I'll post some better pics & measurements for you Smile

I have 1:6 nylint wheels and tires on my 1:6 NB cane.

http://rcboards.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8401055751/m/8231065605

I just dremelled the hexes a little and cut the hub from some old nb wheels for fitment. I did this to retain the offset spacing that newbright runs on the 1:6 (the front rims are way narrower than the rear rims)
I could take some pics tonight if I get some time.
They turn out wicked, it does increase speed though and on some surfaces my cut nb tires are better. The NB are also better for verticle climb test as they are obviously a smaller diameter. the nylint tires are a much better crawler look though IMO.
I havent crawled much outside lately but I am guessing with more exposure to the elements the nylints will soften and be nice and grippy, otherwise I may need to find some tire traction treatment.
HEy wayne, do you know what they call that in usa? My mate used to run karts and we would always rub traction treatment on the tires, it waaaay softens the rubber and doesnt really harm the tire. Great stuff, like warming up the tires to 100 degrees but doin it chemically. It was safe on your hands too (just sticky)

cobra98 ..

I think the rims of larceur LAND ROVER would be too large for these NYLINT .. but these tires are very attractive ..

VHT trackbite,, It does not soften tires, it is a sticky resin..

One way to get grip on rc and other tires.. Is to clean them with either simple green or dawn dish detergent. After a wile mineral deposits make the tires slippery. So you need to get them squeaky clean like your dishes. Depending on were some people live, you might have to buff them with a cloth after; depending on what minerals are in the water you use. Like the spots you see
on silver wear and glasses. Smile

I have been looking for a set of larger tires to run on my f-350. I think that a little higher ground clearance would help out. Some day I also plan on shaving the bottom of the axle. Well I guess I'll start searching for tires.
