Nice work!! is this a 2 x 19 volt battery model?
What is up with 10 minute run time? I have one of these and get plenty longer. Do you use the one hour charger or the slow charger? This is a concern! I do like this model though, do you have any pictures without the shell on? I am interested in the level of articulation you have in the landrover. What batteries do you run. |

this is a good idea, it looks like you have simulated the setup of the jeep onto the landrover to give it that pivot style of articulation . nice work and welcome aboard!! |

I forgot that when in the USA is day, in Poland is night
here's the photo without body: My shocks are made by long nails and small metal parts to screw it: but I have old springs so it doesn't look good: I haven't done nothing with steering yet. I asked how to make the servo harder and you gave me some answers, I think it's very easy. Firstly, I want to put servo on the front axle, then I'll can do the pivot like on the rear Here's some better pics of the pivot ( It's new word in my dictionary thanks to you I'll give you some more information and better pics later P.s. I'll try to explain you it but I have some problems with my English |

hi jacob s i understand the heat issue is stoping your electronics .there is a thermall cut out on these electronic boards two to be precise . an easy fix is to mount computer fans above the electronic board . 2 may be. you will need to fabricate your own brackets to hold them and run a power supply and switch but it can be done this will keep the board cool and stop the electronics shutting down .i have spoke of this in a past post .alot of hobby esc get very hot and need a fan to keep them cool thanks . ohh and nice work ...

you also loulou you may need this mod for your land rover seems there is reports of heat issues with this model .it dosent surprise me the voltage for these models is very high .twin 19 volt batts is a lot for any r/c model i think cooling is the best fix for this .

I can vouch for running a small muffin fan to keep yur ESC cool. My stock Wheely King ESC would overheat and shutdown during prolonged slow crawling. I bought a $3.00 fan from a surplus store and rigged it to blow right across the top of the ESC. Insted of hooking it into the main battery, I simply ran it off a separate 9 volt battery (it ran for hours on a single cell). It worked perfect and the ESC never shut down again.
Here's a VERY old picture of the fan mounted: In this OLD picture one you can see where I mounted the 9 volt (on the front axle) and that I simply used a standard 9 volt battery connector In the meantime I've moved on to a Moped ESC. Cost only 30 bucks, works like a charm and never even gets warm! ___________________________________________________________ "I'm just gonna keep on crawlin' now baby until the day I die, because I'm a crawlin' kingsnake baby, and I rules my den" John Lee Hooker |
