hey yall this is my first post on this forum. so thanks in advance for your help. so heres my dilema i just sold my YJ and bought a 00 TJ and i want to put on some 33s. I off road mostly in the pine barrens. so really i absolutley do no rock crawling just mudding. IT has a 2 in suspension lift. Which i know is not enough. But it came with 1.75" spacers and 1" motor mount lift. How do u guys think that would work? do you u think i would need a sye and all? cause i'm trying to keep the cost down cause i am one of those poor college students. If you don't think thats a good idea what lift would be a good one for me. i really like the re 3.5

thanks
Phil

You may want to post thise in the TJ section...sence its all about a TJ Wink

Anyway, you can go ahead and toss the spacers on top of the 2" springs, no biggie there. However, chances are that you will need an SYE and CV-driveshaft. You can go the cheap route and just get a 1" T-case drop but then you basicly lose clearance and it puts your driveline at an angle. BTW if you do put the T-case drop on it, DO NOT install the 1" engine lift.

The BEST thing to do would be to go out and buy a Rubicon Express 3.5" kit for your Jeep. They are fairly affordable too.

PINEY POWER!!

Since you are in South Jersey and the lift laws are nuts, you are better off keeping it low, cutting fenders a little and cramming tires. Even an RE 3.5 will have the cops all over you on the GSP. Trust me I drove my YJ home last summer, and Ill never do it again. They dont like full widths and 37's rolling through the Garden State. Instead spend your money on things like lockers and maybe a Safari Snorkel. A 1" Body lift will not be that noticeable but will do wonders for clearance. Another good trick is a flat skid which is achieveable with the 1" BL and a clocking ring(for sale section). That will add 4.5" of ground clearance under your belly wich is like going up 9" in tire size. Just some notes from a former South Jersey wheeler. If you need anything else, feel free to email me at Clemsonkrawler@gmail.com

there is a big right up in JP magazine about a tj with no lift and 35s. all they did was leave stock suspension and added longer rear control arms from a 4 inch kit, used that high clearance hood you always see in the back of magazine, you know, the one with the molded fenders on it. and then they just trimmed the rear fenderwell out to the maximum and adjusted the fender flare accordingly, it lookss pretty cool

95 YJ. In the works... Built Chevy 355 V8, fuel injection, SM465, twin stick np205, Dana 70 rear 5.13 , I NEAD A 60 FRONT!!!! 42 TSLs, 4 HD wagoneer front springs, hydroboost brakes, front & rear winches, and some more goodies..... I should be finished before 2006 (I hope)
