Well I got my dana 60's for the jeep but I'm wondering what it's going to take to get them under the jeep. It's a 1990 jeep yj with a 6 cyl in it i want to put the 60's under it but am not sure if it will be a major task. the 60's are out of a 1979 ford f-250 pickup. Will it be ok to leave them full width and will the brakes need up grading, as in the master cylinder and fittings or will the stock ones on the jeep work. any info would be appreciated thanx, rob

Thats a big project you got there,
I am doing a 44 front but since its a little more light duty here is what I am doing which you might be able to base off of. (for a tj mind you)
weld all brackets (shock tower, control arm mts, coil buckets, sway bar tabs, track bar) be sure your pinion angle is good too!

Since they are full width axles it is okay to leave them like that for offroad, but if you plan to drive on the highway then get wider finders or shorten them because 1) Its illegal 2) They are illegal mainly because they will throw rocks/mud and it can be quite annoying.

Far as brakes go... use the original f-250 master cylinder if you can or get a power booster and adjustable/proportional valves.

Aside from pinion angle you will run into what length drive shafts. Once you get them hung-in then for the most part everything else will be easy.
I had a friend who actually did a write up for a d-60/d-70 setup and i'll see if i can dig it up somewhere then post it for you.

Using the master cylinder off of a late 60's Corvette is a popular brake swap that works great. Not too expensive from advance auto parts.
