Hello, I have a '92 YJ and I have a 6" suspension lift and 2" body lift and I am wanting to run Super Swamper TSL/SX in the 35X15.50-15 and I was wondering if anyone else is running a tire this wide with a similar setup or if anyone knows if I can run this tire on 15"X10" wheels with a 3-5/8" backspacing without having interference issues.
I ran the same tire on my 87 wrangler, i can not remember te back spacing i had but it was close stock. The tire rub at full turn on the springs. Other then that no other problems. I got rid of them cause i bought them used for 150 and were worn and went with 36x12.50 tsl and no problems with them.
Hey, Thanks a lot for your help and that is great news. I cannot make up my mind for sure which tire I want. I am considering the IROK too and it is a 36X13.50 so it sounds like I should be OK with most any of them if you didn't have any real problems with the 15.50's. How are you liking your TSL's and do you like them better than you did the SX's?
i had the tsl before the iroks came out and would go with the iroks if i to do it again. the tsl are great but wear down a bit. but the price of them you can not beat. sx were wide and great for stability on road but could not get the the full effect of the tire because they were used and about bald. the jeep is growing to 41 or 42 iroks and can not wait to get it all done.
I went ahead and ordered the 36X13.50-15 IROKs today on a set of Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys model 1079. I was going to just get the Black Crawlers but I got this set of wheels for not much more than I could get the Crawlers for and I think they will probably look a little better on my Jeep since it is also black. I really like the black wheels but I think these aluminum ones will add a little contrast on the black Jeep and I got the whole set of wheels (inluding caps, lug nuts and stems) and the 4 IROKs for a total of $1150 and this included mounting and balancing and also included shipping them right to my door so I think I got a pretty good deal. Thanks again for all of your help!

Ahh...that depends on what he's doing with them I'd take the SX'S in the mud anyday over the IROKS, And yet....the IROKS kick butt on the rocks. For looks?...go with Thornturds. Yes, Aluminum is lighter then steel thank God, so you made a good choice there....what are you useing this jeep for again?
"hook yer seatbelt....i saw this in a cartoon once, but im pretty sure i can do it"
I got the vibe that he was running this thing on the street too. The irok is a good all around tire, and its street manners are alot better then sx's. So what are you using this jeep for...

Thanks for all of the input and sorry it has been a few days since I have replied but I have been out playing in my new "older" Jeep. My son and I have been waiting for our Jeep a long time and it finally arrived last week so we have been out playing. As far as my plans for the Jeep. Well, I mainly bought it for us to have for playing off-road in but I would still like for it to be driveable on the road too, mainly just for getting us to the trails and places we will go off-roading in it. It is definitely not our daily driver but we will probably use it some for running errands in or running around town in every once in a while so I would still like to keep it driveable on the road but mainly for off-road. There are a lot of trails, some good muddin' and some rocks around here so I would like to try a little of all of it and would kind of like a tire which would be versatile to all of it. I don't figure we will go to the extreme in any of it since I would like to have my 4 year old son with me all of the time and we are just looking to have a good time but we are looking forward to trying a little of all of it. Anyway, I didn't mean to get so carried away but I am still running on adrenaline from all of the fun we have had the last few days out in the Jeep. I can't wait to see what these new tires will do because I am amazed at what the Jeep will do will the tires that are on there now. They are plenty big but the are definitely not an off-road tire.
